Advantages: Knowledgeable staff, good range of goods

Up until this week I have a generally good opinion of Gamestation, now that opinion has changed for the better, I think they are absolutely excellent.
~The Store~
Gamestation as the name suggests sells all things gaming related, from brand new consoles to pre owned. All the latest console games, and plenty of pre owned games. They also sell all manner of console accessories which again can be bought new, or can be purchased second hand. They generally have weekly offers and often have half price games.
My particular store is not huge, but they pack in as much as possible. It is based directly opposite Game, so when you're pricing up trade ins they always suggest to get a receipt for the value of the trade ins at Game and they'll beat it by at least £1.
~The Staff~
Everytime I have been into Gamestation the staqff have been excellent. They always know their stuff, I have never asked a question and had any of them go off to find another staff member to get an answer (and whilst going to get the correct information is not a bad thing, its good to know the staff are fully conversant with the products they are selling).
I have been in at various times of the day, when the store is busy and also when its quiet. And I have never felt like they were trying to fob me off or hurry me up.
~Why has my opinion changed?~
Recently I had problems with my Xbox 360 freezing. After calling Microsoft I was told that because it was a pre-owned it was out of warranty and they couldnt help.
I phoned Gamestation who told be to just bring the console down and they would swap it. Which I did and brought the second one home. Only to find that one froze as well, so I called them back and suggested it might be the hard drive, again they said just bring it down and we'll swap it, which I did.
Everything was fine for about 10 minutes and then the new console and hard drive froze again. Needless to say I muttered words such as 'gosh, darn it' 'oh deary me' (or something similar lol). Rather cheesed off, I phoned Gamestation again expecting them to say, 'well we've done our best, cant do anymore'. But no, they said pack the whole lot up, cables and all, bring it back and we'll exchange it all.
Honestly, you couldnt ask for better service. They were very polite, very apologetic (despite it not being their fault) and 100% helpful.
Summary: Well recommened to anyone
