Advantages: Really nice clothes

Gap kids is the shop I would buy lots of clothes from for my boy If only I could afford!
I was introduced to Gap clothes by my friend who works for Gap and she gives me friends and family discount vouchers that range from 20% to 30 % off on certain weekends.
When I was a dinky (dual income no kids yet) I used to by my nieces and nephews and friends children's xmas presents there. I was always surprised at how gratefully received they were. Now I know why parents with one income can't afford their prices!
My last purchase was a shirt and a pair of trousers imaginatively called Lifestyle pants! They cost £14 for the shirt and £16 for the pants. Thank goodness for the discount.
Anyway more about the shop. There is a really good range of casual and smart casual stuff for kids of all ages. The clothes are always really colourful if you want that and they have lots of colours for boys instead of blue and girls instead of pink. The clothes are always displayed really well with lots of ideas on the mannequins.
I have found that the sizes aren't generous and you may need to consider a size above what you may normally. The trousers however are really good for tall thin boys as my sister in law found out. There was a rumour they did baby socks that stayed on - well on in my case he kicked them off just as easily.
The staff are trained to be helpful - they are meant to come and ask if they can help you. Always ask if you can't find your size. Use them if you need otherwise just have a browse. I've never found the shop to be really busy. At christmas they will gift box your presents for you - I can't remember if they charge extra.
One of the good things about Gap is they are few and far between in this country so the chances are you won't see another child wearing the same clothes - unlike Next clothes.

Summary: Great clothes for kids that are really colourful
