Disadvantages: High prices and 'luxury' fabrics

Mmm - some really nice things for little girls and boys over the age of about 2, but for babies (mine is 8½ months) there is a very limited range. I am a NEXT-aholic when it comes to my baby's clothing but thought I would give Gap a look as I love their adult clothes. I could not believe the pricing! £16 for a T-Shirt?? £16 for a shortie sleepsuit?? Baby-pink leather jackets and skirts???? Linen? Pure New Wool? Cashmere??!!!?? Who dictates the fabric choice for the baby clothes?? I am quite sure that the T's wash as well as their adult equivs - but I'm afraid I'm not prepared to pay the price of an entire outfit at Next for one little T-Shirt ........ and it's not because I'm SCOTTISH!!

However, the staff are very pleasant (perhaps a little bit too pleasant!) and helpful and I think that once my little girl graduates to larger sizes I would definately buy the odd thing here - but she'll never be a 'GAP BABY'.
