Gapbuster is a company that is commissioned by various stores and companies to send out people known as mystery shoppers to assess their services and get paid for it.
A mystery shopper is usually independent and they sign up to the mystery shopping companies such as gapbuster and are then informed of jobs available which they then apply to complete.
Gapbuster is easy to register with, you complete some pretty basic details as well as your bank details for payment. Once registered you inform Gapbuster of the areas you are able to cover and when new jobs which are known as assignments come up you can login to your account and show that you wish to complete that assignment.
Gapbuster does some online training for their contractors who are known as shoppers. You work your way through a virtual assignment and then go on to answer questions, you must get 100% of these questions correct and have 3 attempts to do so to be a shopper.
Many of the main clients for Gapbuster have their own virtual training and you must complete this and get 100% to be able to shop for them.
Some of the clients for which you might get to shop for are Mcdonalds, Car phone warehouse and KFC. Each assignment will have its own requirements which will impact on how you are paid. For example, if you shop at Mcdonalds, you may get £4 for a meal and £4 for your shopper fee, so you get £8 in total. This is how all assignments at a food place work but the amount you receive will vary.
This is a very easy way to earn some money because the assignments can usually be fitted in with normal shopping trips. You will get paid straight into your bank account each month and it is nice to have a little bit of extra cash and get paid to east out !
In my area there are a good amount of assignments available, I have at least one to do each week and I have had weeks where I have done 8 assignments, the most I have ever done in one day was 5 assignments.
You do need to be careful though because you are not employed by Gapbuster, you are an independent contractor which means you are responsible for your own national insurance and tax, you are basically self employed and what you earn from working with Gapbuster has to be declared.
My girlfriend and I both do work for Gapbuster and doing the assignments really helps us to save some money up for treats and special occasions.
I suggest joining if you want some work which is flexible and want to earn a little extra cash here and there, you get to decide what jobs to take and it works around you . I love working as a mystery shopper for Gapbuster and I also work for other mystery shopping companies and do find gapbuster to be a good stream of work compared to the others.
Summary: Get paidto eat out and go shopping
