Advantages: A Good store

I recently joined Global video store in Saltcoats. It has to be said that the competition is a bit thin on the ground, but that is a by the by.

We enjoy going to the store, whether to buy or rent. We always find something which will be of interest.

The layout of the store can be a bit confusing. The separation of categories does not appear to apply. You just have to walk around and see what is around. With my poor eyesite this can be a challenge. Fortunately the staff are good and know their stock. If I miss an item then I ask. If it is in they will get it for me, if not then they will say when it is due or otherwise.

The one downside is the cost of their popcorn and ice cream. It tends to be on the higher side.

What they are good at is selling on their stock. I have found their prices to be competitive and have made quite a few additions to my personal collection. I have never been keen to do this with video, but now that I use DVD I can tell if the disc has a problem. The prices of ex rentals are good. Why rent at £2.99 when you can own for £5.00??

As a PC owner I am also pleased at some of the gems they have had with regards games.

I get the weekly newsletter and visit their website to enter their competitons. I am pleased to say I won the Hollow Man on VHS. The site reflects the quality of the store and is easy to navigate.

This is a good company and I am sure that i wll continue to give them my business as long as they maintain their standards. Well worth a check out in your high street.
