There was once a time when I would have happily spent a whole morning or afternoon browsing the many small outlets at the Gloucester Antiques Centre. Unfortunately, there have been a lot of changes, and the amount and breadth of items now on sale has diminished considerably. Despite this, if you haven't visited before it is well worth the trip. There are a wide variety of what might be termed 'new' and 'old' antiques available, from china to furniture, clothes to jewellery. The Gloucester Antique Centre is located in a restored Victorian warehouse in the Historic Docks area of Gloucester. Within the centre there are over 100 antique dealers selling an enormously wide variety of items including furniture, jewellery, clocks, porcelain, collectibles and every other type of item that you would expect in a very large antiques centre. The centre is spread over 5 floors, with each floor split into many little shops that you can wander in and out of and browse around the huge selection of items.
