Advantages: Cheap, stylish, lasts a while

Disadvantages: not enough staff, changing room doors

Superb clothes at very cheap prices is the basic definition of H&M. For the most this is true. The prices won't leave you having to re-mortgage the house and yet the styles change with the season, meaning there is always something new and fresh in store. Unfortunatly some of the clothes are a bit too fashion orientated and you could end up buying a shirt which makes you cringe a week later. The good news is that if you do make a fashion disaster the clothes are so cheap that they can be replaced with less offending items relativly cheaply.

The styling of the shops themselves are also modern and airy. Certainly a million miles away from the bad old days of C & A. The staff are also very helpful, although at times they cna be hard to find. This can be a bit of a pain if, like me, you are quite short and can't reach something on a high rail. If you decide to buy something in H&M I recommend that you try it on, even if you think it will fit. This is so that you can check out the changing rooms. Inside the cubicles there is a big light switch, that enables you to chnage the light settings to see what the clothes look like in more natural light. Neat. Although I wish they would fit proper doors to the cubicles, as currently they have a big rectangle cut of them, which enables to people to see in. Normally you can only see the person's head, but I do have a lot of sympathy for tall women who might be trying t-shirts on. You get the picture.

So apart from dodgy changing room doors H&M has it all. Light airy shops selling stylish clothes cheaply. What is more the clothes tend to last a while and won't be reduced to some rags after only one wash. A sound investment then.
