Advantages: Price, lots of choice, friendly staff, good quality jewellery

I was surprised to see that H Samuel has only got 2 stars overall on Dooyoo as I have many items of Jewellery from this shop which I have had no problems with.

I think the first positive about H Samuel is the price. They are significantly cheaper than many other Jewellers and yet they still have quite a wide range of Jewellery and lots of modern, unique designs. I also find that they have a wide range of prices, so for example if you are looking for a plain white gold bracelet (which I was), you could get one for £30 or you could get one for £200, and all prices inbetween. I like the way there were choices suited to everybody's budget.

I have also experience good customer service at H Samuel. My boyfriend bought me a ring on our 1st anniversary and although I had been to have my finger sized previously, I must have done something wrong as the ring was a little too big. I thought it would be ok so wore it for a couple of weeks but I was always worried it would fall off and I'd lose it. When I took it back to H Samuel to be resized I was told that because of the setting of the stones in the ring, it couldn't be resized however they could order me a brand new one in a smaller size. I was really pleased with this as I had worn the ring already and it was my fault that it was too big. They also offered me a refund although I took the replacement as obviously I still wanted the ring. 4 years on and I have been wearing it ever since. Although it is white gold, it hasn't discoloured and the diamond is as sparkly as ever.

I suppose if I had one complaint about H Samuel it would be that although the staff are usually polite and helpful, they are not really experts in Jewellery and often can't give you as much information as you require. As someone else mentioned, their staff seem to be getting younger and younger and I do like going into an independent Jewellers and talking to someone who really knows what they are talking about. I guess in this day and age with all high streets looking the same, what can we expect?

Over all I rate H Samuel highly and would not hesitate to buy Jewellery from them again.
