Halfords is a genreal retailer for all things on wheels, well cars and pedal bikes at least, I guess they do not sell much that is suitable if you drive a HGV or fly a plane.

They are often located on out of town retail parks rather than
on the high street as they need a large amount of floor space. I find them really good for those small bits of car maintenance like liquid for my screen wash or de-icer or maybe replacement windscreen blades as they have plenty of choice and the prices are quite reasonable.

For the cyclist they sell a lot of mountain bikes and gerneral kids bikes as well however to be honest I would always go to a more specialist retailer for such items as you get better advice and a greater range of goods, my local cycle shop in Kingsthorpe is really elpful and they do repairs and maintenance.

Halfords also sell lots of higher priced motoring stuff, we bought our roof bars from them and they also sell sat nav and other electrical items for your car as well as security devices.

I do like the fact that Halfords have a wide range to choose from and you can always get help from the staff.
