Harrods FoodhallNewest Review: ... store - you go shopping on the top floor, so do not expect to be buying trolley full of items, seeing as you cannot anyway, just restrict yourself - the prices are unbelievable sometimes, but in general it was a nice shopping experience - I managed to spend around £30 on just 14 items, I was horrified by my indulgency, but the food tasted absolutely amazing. The best quality food from anywhere I have been, but naturally, it costs the earth to buy. There isn't the most extensive range of products or services, but I was pleased by the choice of top quality specialist food - it's like a large deli store. The staffs treats you like roy... more |

I am an atheist, I have no idea why I am telling you this, but I am. So Harrods as a food store? Well I have always been aware of Harrods’s incredibly high pricing policy, but they always offer the best quality products, or do they? Harrods is a selectively exclusive rich person's shopping store - you go shopping on the top floor, so do not expect to be buying trolley full of items, seeing as you cannot anyway, just restrict yourself - the prices are unbelievable sometimes, but in general it was a nice shopping experience - I managed to spend around £30 on just 14 items, I was horrified by my indulgency, but the food tasted absolutely amazing. Harrods has to be one of my favourite shops. I'm not a snob, nor am I loaded! However, it is a nice treat to just browse and dream. But if you actually want to get one of those Harrods carrier bags, there is probably something for any budget in the Food Hall. I only really get up to London a few times a year, but would be hung drawn and quartered if I didn’t return with a couple of boxes of Turkish delight (one of my girlfriends favourites) The staff are always friendly, and like to have a chat. It seems that no matter how little you spend they cannot do enough to help, and this all adds to the extra special feeling that Harrods has. My ... Read the complete review

I live in London so getting to Harrods is very easy. I tend not to do it as I have heard many bad stories of the owner, Mo Fayed, who is alleged to be very corrupt. Despite this morale scruple, the food hall is simply awesome. Everything in it is absolutely excellent, especially the sweets and patisserie section. Of course it costs more than the averag ehigh street supermarket, but that isn't the point. I go there to treat myself and am never dissapointed. If you are in the area and aren't completely broke, I urge you to visit. ... Read the complete review

I have been to London on many occasions but have only went to Harrods once and that was out of nosyness. I found it all breathtaking, it's a lovely store and you won't have any difficulty buying anything your little heart desires. Myself. I ended up buying two large baps filled with yummy stuff as I was starving with hunger, you see that's what shopping does to me. Food is brought in from all parts of the world and you can buy a four course meal already cooked be it Indian, chinese, italian or whatever, they have it in the food-hall. A very interesting place but I won't be buying my weekly shop there. ... Read the complete review

Every single time im in london i always make a point of nipping into Harrods (Oh I say!) and buying one their excellent sandwiches! Now you might think that food there is gonna be steep, but most of the stuff (not counting quail eggs and badgers feet or whatever they sell) is very reasonable. Sure, youll pay a quid for a bottle of coke or something, but 1.79 for a nice Egg&Bacon sarnie is quite reasonable. Also you might want to check out their Mayonnaises - especially the sun dried tomato and the blue cheese ones. Yummm.. Hell, im hungry just writing about it! ... Read the complete review
