This is one shop that I will never go back to again after my experience with them.

It all started a couple of weeks after I got married. I went up to our local store which is over 40 miles away to look at beds with my husband, as this was my mums wedding present to us.

Harveys was the first store which we went in to and were very happy with everything they didn't push you and when I wanted advice I just went up and asked for it, which I do prefer. We were interested in a bed which came with a free mattress and bedding but instead of the free mattress we wanted to upgrade it to a better quality memory foam mattress. This was slightly over the budget which was set but my mum was happy with this when I spoke to her about it. We arranged to go up together on the Saturday and bearing in mind this was the Thursday it was not far away. I told the sales man that I would be up at the weekend or next week and he said that was fine, confirmed the price and told us to ask for him when we went in again.

I went up with my mum on the Saturday (two days after I had been) and they had put the price up by over £100! We spoke to an assistant about this and explained that we had been given a lower price a couple of days before and she just basically said it was tough luck! Her attitude was awful and when my mum asked to speak to the manager she said that she was the manager, whether this was true or not i don't know as she had no badge on stating this. She claimed that they had a sale on but it had now ended and when I asked why I wasn't told this she said that she didn't even know about it till that morning, but then she went on to say that it was advertised in two papers that it was ending. She didn't like being questioned about it and about the false advertising as there was still a sign outside the shop saying there was a sale on.

The most terrible experience I have ever had in a shop with the way that she spoke to us and the sudden price hike.

We did go round the corner after this to another shop and found an even better package and a salesman who was very willing to help us out.
