Never buy from Harvey's. I ordered a table and chairs that were expected to arrive in 6-9 weeks but finally arrived after 12 weeks. Harvey's never once contacted us not once during this time and were totally useless anytime I contacted them. Finally one day I got a call from the delivery company telling us that they would be over between 11-1pm and they had our furniture, of course Harvey's hadn't once contacted us. The worst customer service I have ever ever experienced, wouldn't go near them again.

We ordered and paid for wardrobes from Harveys on 8th August this year. We are still waiting for them to be delivered 3 months on. I have rang them at least once a week since the original target delivery date of 6-8 weeks from order delivery passed. Do NOT buy anythig from Harveys or Bensons for beds. Both are part of Homesytle Operations Ltd and both companies do exactly the same. They lead you on and make promises of delivery dates and then constantly change the dates. my mum payed £1500 for a bedroom unit,haverys flat pack man was payed extra to build it,middle section collaped after 6 months,harveys customer complaints sayed "case closed "and no repair even though it had a gaurentee for a year bloody awful way to treat a old person

HARVEYS FURNITURE STORE is a nightmare!! do not buy anything from them.I had a solid oak wardrobe that was delivered broken & all i got was - "you should have checked it within 3 days -case closed". How can i move & unpack this living alone! The item was £700!! then when i tried to access the manufacturer guarantee, they told me to assemble the broken wardrobe, if it's still broken ring them back!! when i ring up i get no sense! you are passed from one dep to another they NEVER return calls and i will never buy from them again i have never come accross a firm with such bad customer service. A bit of common sense we need not quotes from the 'policy' thrown at us all the time!

Gotta say i found harveys fantastic! the value is great! the furniture arrived on time and was exactly what i was expecting! the guys in the store (eastbourne) are so friendly! not sure what else to say? EXCELLENT! guess you only normally come on here when you wanna complain! i know 3 or 4 people who have bought from them and they all similarly are happy, definately recommend (had awful service from DFS in past)

i brought a vienna sofa from harveys in december 2007 in under a year the paint started peeling so they agreed to replace the sofa 2 and a 3. in january this year the replacement turned up & to my horror paint started peeling again my 3rd replacement is due to arrive next week.
but im disgusted that the staff are not professional at all the manager did not want to talk to me in the end i refused to get the phone after an hour she spoke to me.
never buy from harveys!!!!!
