It actually works, but you should go to the doctors each month for a repeat prescription was getting a bit pricey . As a result I looked online at where these peppermint tablets could be easily and cheaply bought.
I came across Health Span using Google and that i thought that the website looked really professional.
It is not difficult to register with Well-Being Period and orders are usually delivered in about 4 days that's very good. I have likewise purchased other items from Health Period and I find their small booklets they occasionally send out in the post rather intriguing.
I've only had a few dilemmas buying from Health Period. Once I got the goods that were wrong. Wellness Period to explain was e-mailed by me and I returned the things that were wrong and got the correct ones really quickly. This is a little annoying but no real dilemma and that i understand these things can happen from time to time.
Also, a few of the other pills I have purchased have been massive and too enormous for me to consume. It might be useful if perhaps for extra large pills that details of this is put on the website so you've improved warning and better details before purchasing items.
Wellness Span no more sell 50mg of peppermint pills. They just do greater dosages which are much to strong for me. What this means is that I no longer purchase from this website as it was a good company to buy from which will be a pity - I guess there was just not a large enough demand for this product.
A good few years ago now I was diagnosed by my doctor with IBS. My doctore prescribed me with peppermint tablets. I was really surprised that a NHS doctor prescribes herbal medicines but also quite pleased as I like the idea of taking something natural.
The peppermint tablets really helps but I was getting fed up having to take time off work to go to the doctors each month for a repeat prescription and it was getting a bit expensive. As a result I looked online at where I could cheaply and easily buy these peppermint tablets.
I came across Health Span using Google and I thought that the website looked really professional. The prices are really competitive and I found it cheaper buying from Health Span than paying for my prescription from the doctors – and it saved having to go and see the doctor all the time.
It is easy to sign up with Health Span and orders are normally delivered in about 4 days which is great. I have also purchased other items from Health Span and I find their little booklets they occasionally send out in the post quite interesting.
I have only had a couple of issues buying from Health Span. Once I received the wrong goods. I emailed Health Span to explain and I returned the incorrect items and got the correct ones really quickly. This was a bit annoying but no real issue and I understand these things will happen from time to time.
Also, some of the other tablets I have purchased have been massive and too big for me to swallow. It would be useful if maybe for extra-large tablets that details of this is put on the website so you have advanced warning and better details before purchasing items.
Health Span no longer sell 50mg of peppermint tablets. They only do greater dosages which are far to strong for me. This means that I no longer purchase from this website which is a shame as it was a good company to buy from – I guess there was just not a big enough demand for this product.
I used to be a loyal health span customer (probably spend hundreds with them over the years) however it seems they have now decided to rip customers off at every opertunity.
As an example they used to sell Milk thistle for around £6, and you would get 120 tablets. A recent change in the law meant that a licence is now required to sell Milk Thistle, and Health Span used this as an excuse to jack the price up and lower the pill count by a huge amount.
Instead of £6 for 120 tablets, the price has gone up to £13.95 for 30 tablets. This meant instead of paying around 5 pence per tablet, you paid 50 pence per tablet!
Of course there was a lot of complaints, which was brushed off and customers where told that the prices where now in line with any other businesses, and if anybody was selling them cheaper, that it was old stock that would no longer be legal to sell once it ran out.
They also claimed that those companies who sold it cheaper, did not sell a product with the minimum amount of silymarin (the active ingredients that protects your liver which according to studies needs to be 200mg/80% silymarin)
Except this was a lie. Numerous people have pointed out that companies such as Matrix Nutrition, Lamberts Health Care, Natures Best (The list could go on forever so I'll stop there) ALL provided a standardized, licensed product for not only a lower price, but with double, treble, and sometimes quadrupole the amount of tablets for the same price!
Meanwhile Healthspan continue to ignore its customers protests and regurgitates the same old excuses that they could not possibly low their prices and that they are in line with other retailers (which is clearly wrong as any quick google search will reveal)
I for one will never be shopping with them again, not only have they been caught with their hand in the cookie jar, they are not the slightly bit embarrassed and have done nothing to rectify the situation.
I am a nutritionist and at one point sang the praises of Health Span to hundreds of clients, now I do the exact opposite.
I have been ordering my supplements from Healthspan for years because I find their supplements to be good quality, well packaged and they resolved the issue speedily the 2 times I had to phone them due to a problem.
A friend's husband worked in the pharmaceutical industry and he always recommended Healthspan as having the best quality production/quality assurance etc for their supplements. So I decided to give them a try. Originally I ordered by phone, but now they have a fantastic website which has both an online shop and loads of informative articles about health and supplements. Once you are on their mailing list they will send you a magazine full of information and regular offers for reduced prices or discount vouchers, but I don't find these arrive in such vast quantity that they annoy me, if you know what I mean.
Healthspan are based in Guernsey, so they do warn that products may take up to 10 days to arrive - in practice I have found that it is normally just under a week. If you order multiple items they will normally arrive separately (although they may well arrive in the same postal delivery). I believe packaging them separately makes the customs process easier.
I have only once had an item get lost in the post - a quick phone call to Healthspan resulted in a replacement being despatched which arrived a few days later. The only other problem I have ever had was one time when I ordered some supplements as a gift for a friend. Although I specified her name/address as the delivery address the confirmation email showed it being delivered to me at her address. As she lives in a shared property this could have caused confusion if one of the other occupants answered the door to the postman! a quick phone call to Healthspan got the name changed and the supplements arrived safely as I wanted.
They have recently changed their packaging so that the majority of products arrive in a size and shape that will easily fit through a standard letterbox. In the past I often used to arrive home and find either a card tellimg me there was a parcel at the post office, or worse that the postman had left it on the doorstep in full view of the road. No more, they can just be popped through the letterbox and are waiting inside the house, nice and dry even if it has been raining outside!
Their supplements are not the cheapest in town, you will always find somewhere offering them cheaper but check carefully whether they are the same strength and quality - they probably won't be. If you look around you will also find plenty of places offering the same thing at a higher price, so I would say they charge a fair price for their products.
Their website or their staff can give you advice on whether the supplement is suitable for your condition and issue warnings for and situations in which you should not take it, but as ever, it is recommended you check with your doctor before taking something new.
I took the ordinary Glucosamine for a couple of years, then i upgraded to the HCI version,i suffered 12 months of extreme pain and soreness of virtually every muscle in my body,my joints became stiff and sore,i had every medical test that the NHS could possibly do nothing showed anything to indicate why this was happening,i did not tell the Consultant i was taking HCI,because i did not think it was relevent, not being a prescribed drug,it was only when a friend mentioned she had had a bad experience with another suppliment, that i thought that may be happening to me,i took Omega 3 fish oil but no other medication suppliment or prescribed,so i stopped HCI and within a day the soreness in my muscles had gone,i have obviously been unlucky, the ordinary Glucosamine was fine i took that for years, but the HCI,is obviously not right for me,just be aware that if you start a suppliment and your condition worsens or other symptoms appear, that it may be the thing you are taking to help it.
I recently placed my first order with Healthspan and was not impressed by the service I received at all. I placed my order over the phone and although I got through relatively quickly, I was then put on hold by the person on the other end of the phone! When the person came back I found that he wasn't friendly and when I asked him questions about the products, he did not seem to go out of his way to find the answers for me. Nonetheless, I placed the order and waited eagerly for my parcel. It arrived with me within a reasonable amount of time, but unfortunately they had forgotten to send one of the products I ordered. I was not happy at all as it was the supplement that I was eager to start taking. I had to ring them back and inform them and again the person on the end of the phone was not overly helpful as he could give me no explanation as to why this had happened, and I was just told they would be sent out that day. I eventually did receive the products but I will not be ordering again as I do not wish to wait this amount of time for my supplements and if they can forget to send my products once, I'm sure they could forget again.
This is the only online supplement provider that I trust eversince I researched the sale of Chondroitin for joints. It was the only company which used marine sourced Chondroitin and most of the others used bovine sourced - from cows (even Holland & Barret!) With the knowledge of Mad Cow Disease this was quite an important factor in my choice.
I have gone on using them as they are not only ethical and reliable, they are often much cheaper, considering the quality, than other suppliers.
If you order from Healthspan they send you a leaflet, prices and often a discount voucher code, every month. I have just made an order and received 20% off by entering my voucher code.
I frequently buy Omega 3. With this supplement it is the DHA and EPA ingredients that are the most important. Compare the rates of these, along with the price, when you buy. Some are much cheaper than Healthspan but the important ingredients are much lower and so not as good value. Healthspan Omega 3 have really concentrated DHA and EPA so are really good value.
I must mention that they operate from the Channel Islands but postage is always free. There is also an 0800 73 123 77 number to order from
and you can get supplement advice for both humans and pets.
Nowadays, nutrition seems to be taken more seriously than ever, and whilst many people often dismiss the benefits of taking daily vitamin pills, the UK supplements industry currently seems to be thriving. Personally, i'm not one to overdo the vitamins, but I do take daily Cod Liver Oil capsules in order to promote a healthy heart, brain, and joints.
Although I sometimes shop at high-street stores like Holland & Barrett to buy whatever pills I need, I usually opt to purchase direct from HealthSpan, which offers a range of items at very reasonable prices.
In terms of its history, Healthspan was first established in 1996, and since that time has become the UK's leading home shopping supplier of vitamins, minerals and health supplements. The company is based in the Channel Islands (allowing it to sell at tax-free prices), and offers free delivery on all its products.
Found at www.healthspan.co.uk, The website is very nicely designed and is both uncluttered and well laid out. A bar running across the top of the page provides the user with links to the 'Home', 'Help', 'About Us', 'Articles', and 'Checkout' pages, whilst the menu on the left hand side allows you to navigate via the categories tab - e.g, 'Eye Health', 'Bone Health', and 'Heart Health' etc.
Although it already offers very low prices, it's a good idea to look for extra discount codes for HealthSpan, as there always seems to be a special offer on. If found, these promotional codes can be entered at the checkout page in order to reduce the cost of your order even further.
If you do want to make an order with Healthspan, you will need to register an account first. This is a actually a straightforward and easy process, and simply involves adding your name, address, and phone number, and then choosing a password which you will then use for future log-ins.
In my previous experience, the delivery has been very quick, and the items I have ordered have arrived well packed and undamaged. On the downside, the postage which HealthSpan uses isn't recorded, which mean a signature isn't required from the postman. Although I have never had anything go missing from my order, I would have thought that the delivery of tablets would have to have extra security measures.
All in all I would highly recommend taking a look at HealthSpan if you are a frequent supplement buyer who wants to make a saving on your monthly vitamin consumption. The easy to use website, combined with the low prices and fast delivery certainly make this one to check out.
I am not a fan of taking vitamin tablets, firstly because I seem to have a terrible inability to swallow tablets, and secondly, I just don't think I should be putting vitamins/minerals into my body via tablets rather than through eating sensibly.
Anyhow, having had a somewhat stiff knee recently when I have been out walking, a friend recommended taking cod liver oil, which supposedly over time helps with joint stiffness. When I explained my loathing of swallowing tablets, she in turn xplained that the cod liver oil capsules that she uses, sold by Healthspan, were particularly easy to swallow.
Thinking ahead, and with my father already having arthritis, I was willing to try them in a bid to reduce any further stiffness from developing.
So after taking the details from her I went online to check out the healthspan website at www.healthspan.co.uk. It advertises itself as the the Uk's leading online supplier of vitamins, minerals and health supplements, set up in 1996. The company is based in the Channel Island of Guernsey. All its products use approved pharmaceuticul ingredients, and there is even a 'no quibble' refund policy.
From the beginning I was very impressed with the layout of the site. On the main page, it is very easy to find health supplements to help with whatever the issue is eg. anti ageing products, eye health, bone health, heart health.
You can also look up products via the a-z list tab on the main home page to see if healthspan stock the product you are looking for. There are also some very interesting articles, written by leading health professionals which you able to freely read. In addition there is the option of subscribing to healthspan's free magazine.
One of the huge plus points of using Healthspan to purchase health supplements is that their products are tax free, thanks to their location in Guernsey. They are also offer free delivery within the Uk, which is another huge plus point, especially when you are living in Northern Ireland, and usually miss such delivery offers by not being part of the mainland.
Anyhow, based on the recommendation of my friend and my own positive impressions of the site, I purchased, using my credit card, some cod liver oil capsules. Confirmation emails can through immediately, and within a week, the capsules had arrived. Again, I was impressed with this, since frequently, delivery takes that bit longer reaching Northern Ireland. There is also the option of ordering over the phone and the free phone number can be found on the website.
I have also been very pleased with my purchase of my cod liver oil tablets, and felt for the quantity that I bought, it was very good value for money. They are also very easy to swallow and I have had no problems as yet!
All in all, I will continue to use health span for the purchase of these capsules, and any other should I feel that I need them as I age. They off excellent value for money, plenty of useful information and advice, as easy to use website, and no hassle online shopping, delivering free within a week. I have no hesitation in recommending this company, and I'm glad my friend did to me.
Healthspan claims to be the UK's leading supplement brand; their range offers more than ninety nutritional supplements 'all made to the very highest pharmaceutical-grade standards using the purest natural ingredients available'. As they are based in the Channel Islands, they offer tax-free prices that are permanently low, and from time to time certain products are offered at sale prices. I have occasionally received a voucher worth £2 off any order with a minimum value of £18; vouchers such as this can be used online by typing in a code. Postage and packing are free; what more can you ask for?
I first began ordering supplements online from Healthspan a few years ago on the recommendation of a friend as well as my GP. I had never heard of them before, but I was having quite a bit of pain in my right knee that was making it difficult for me to kneel down and to climb stairs. My GP didn't think the problem was serious enough for a prescription medicine, so Glucosamine Sulphate tablets seemed to be the thing to try. I was told that the cheapest source of the tablets was in fact Healthspan, and that certainly proved to be the case. Although I no longer take Glucosamine Sulphate, I have continued ordering other products such as peppermint oil capsules, zinc tablets and cranberry tablets from Healthspan, partly because their prices are so low but also because I have never had any problems with delivery. Any product I have ordered has always arrived within a few days, well packaged, and I have never had any reason to return anything or to make a complaint.
When you visit Healthspan's website, you will see on the left-hand side that you can shop by category if you are not sure which product you require. There are eighteen categories in all, ranging from Joint Care to Women's Health, or from Children's Health to Sleep & Mood. There are even supplements for dogs, cats and horses, although I have not personally ordered any of these. When you click on a particular category, you will be taken to a page that shows a list of relevant products along with a small illustration, the quantities available and the price. There is also a very brief description of each product, but you can click on 'more' to read detailed information. When you have decided that you want to order a product, you can add it to your basket; some products are available in two different quantities, and the larger one always represents a saving.
If you already know exactly which product you want, you can click on Products A-Z at the top of the home page and then select the initial letter of your product. This takes you to a page listing all products starting with that letter and so you click on your particular one. Here again you can read a detailed description of it if you wish and check the price before adding it to your basket. There is also the possibility of entering a keyword in the search box near the top left of the home page to see if a suitable product exists. On the right-hand side is a list of best-selling products with quantities supplied and prices; you can click on the product itself for details, or click on 'buy now' if you already know that is what you want.
Before completing your order, you will need to either register as a new customer or log in as an existing customer. To register is very simple, as you just need to enter your name, address, email address and choose a password; telephone numbers may be entered but are not compulsory. Healthspan promise that they will never sell or pass on your details to any other organisation. You need to confirm that you agree to the terms and conditions, and sign up for any one or all of the Healthspan newsletter, the Nurture newsletter, and the Vetvits newsletter if you wish.
When you proceed to Checkout, you will have the option of giving a different delivery address from the one you registered with for billing. On the following page, you have to enter your card details for payment. Healthspan accepts all major credit cards, as well as Maestro and Switch. You can then click on 'Place your order', and the process is complete. You will shortly afterwards receive an email from Healthspan confirming your order.
If you order more than one product at a time, they will probably be packaged and shipped separately. Most products come in plastic tubs with pull-off lids, although the cranberry tablets came in blister packs inside a cardboard box. Both tubs and boxes are packaged in a sturdy and well-sealed outer cardboard box, inside which a small brochure is also included. As I have said, my orders have always arrived in less than a week and I have never had any cause for complaint. The tubs or boxes list the ingredients of the products and clearly show the expiry date. Once empty, the tubs could be washed and used as small, lightweight and airtight containers that might be very useful when travelling, for example.
Even if you are not intending to buy any supplements, you might be interested in some of the articles that Healthspan publishes on its website. There are currently over 120 of these, and they are written by doctors and other health specialists. Some of the articles do focus on particular products, but others discuss health problems such as diabetes, digestive disorders or arthritis. If you do place orders with Healthspan, you can elect to receive their magazine which features several articles in each issue. It also lists their products and prices, clearly indicating any new additions or any price reductions. You can in fact place your order by post if you prefer. Healthspan also has a freephone service that can be used for placing orders or for making enquiries about their products; such enquiries will be dealt with by trained specialists. I have never made use of this service myself so cannot comment on it.
If you already buy these types of supplement from High Street stores, I would recommend having a look at Healthspan's website as I am sure that you will find their prices difficult to beat. Their products are of the highest quality too, and they provide service of an excellent standard.

I have been buying my vitamin supplements from Healthspan for over a year now and find them to be reasonably priced and of a good quality. I am confident that I get a better product from them than I would if I shopped at shops on the High Street. They are based in Guernsey, yet there is free delivery on all orders and everything is tax free! They sell a whole range of products including: Aloe Vera Beta Carotene Cod Liver Oil Co-Enzyme Q10 Echinacea Folic Acid Evening Primrose Oil Ginko Biloba Multivitamin Products Kava Kava Selenium Royal Jelly Garlic Products etc. the list goes on and on! There is a freephone number to order your supplements, and the delivery is always prompt. As far as I know they do not have a web page.
I've been checking out prices of vitamins and minerals in one or two different shops. It seems a lot of money to buy something that is normally present in our diet. Unfortunately I was dragged up taking vitamins and am sort of superstitious about them, you know, if I stop taking them will my ears turn green and fall off? Anyway Healthspan in Guernsey are the cheapest I've found ,they are tax free as well. They will send you a catalogue then you can compare prices before you buy. They have a web sight www.Healthspan .co.uk/
