Okay, I have lived near to Sutton for over 15 years and love it. It isn't necessarily the best or biggest but there are plenty of pluses. The high street itself runs from the bottom of Sutton (found mostly by The Burger King), right up to the top of the hill where Sutton Mainline Railway Station is. From bottom to top probably takes around 15 minutes walking although it is uphill!!! Now for starters the shops themselves which are the highlight of most High Streets. Combining the ameneties and convenience of London with the relaxed atmosphere of a pedestrianised provincial town Sutton High Street is well stocked with most big name shops, cinema, supermarkets and coffee shops. We've lived near Sutton for 5 years now and have been using both Sutton and Croydon high streets throughout, to be honest we prefer Sutton. Lets start with the drawbacks - It closes at 4:00pm on a Sunday, it's on a gentle hill and can be steep and it goes decidedly downmarket at the bottom. Now thats over and done with...
