Advantages: Large selection
Disadvantages: Cheaper on the net
HMV can be found on most high streets in the UK, I tend to ue the large one in Milton Keynes where I do most of my clothes and non food shopping outside of London, in Milton Keynes they have a really large store that sells a full range of products.
HMV specialise in selling home entertainment products like music, films and video games, they also sell a range of posters, teenage t-shirts and a very limited number of books and magazines
Music and DVD 's are their main products and they have a pretty good range to choose from with all the chart stuff and a largeback catalogue. The main music and video sections are arranged in lathabetical order however some music is orgaised by genre. The shelves are always well stocked and the stores are well set out. They also sell a lot of computer games and consoles and these are arranged in product type.
They are pretty good on price although to be honest for new releases I buy on the net as it is cheaper, what they are good for is when they have offers like buy six DVD's for £30 and with these offers they have a good choice.
The staff are friendly enough and you never have long to wait to be served which makes them a good store in my opinion.
Summary: Good store chain.

- 17/08/08 HMV are still occasionally good if not better than online sites sometimes especially when they have sales on. |

- 17/08/08 I think online prices are too cheap to be bothered with HMV nowadays. |
