Advantages: Great offers

Disadvantages: Always buy more than I plan to.

I regularly shop at home bargains so thought I would share why I love this store.

I have shopped in three different Home Bargain Stores and they all have slight differences but the purpose of this review I will concentrate on the store I use most in Heanor.

It is easy to access and has a free car park which does get busy at times but I have never been unable to park.

The entrance has a row of special offers which are called star buys in this store. I always check these out as they often include food items and things I would regularly buy anyway.

The store sells so many different items from Toilettes, baby items, Stationary, cleaning products, home wares, toys food and alcohol.

At the end of each Aisle are more star buys.

I do find this store is one of those stores where I go in for one item and come out with a large carrier.

I buy most of my toiletries from here. They often have high brand items for a fraction of the cost. I bought Toni and guy shampoo there the other day usually £4.99 but I bought it for £1.59.

The babies' items have a few items of clothing mostly pyjamas and then item for the bath, potties some food, dishes and cutlery and nappies. I have bought packs of cutlery for 69p which is usually nearly £3 elsewhere.

The home ware includes items for the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom including adults and kids bedding.

I have bought a few toys from here and they are reasonable quality. I bought some toddler Jigsaws that you fit the pieces in the hole, the pieces were pretty loose in comparison to other ones I have but this actually meant it was easier for my son to fit the pieces.

The stationary is great value. I buy loads of birthday cards from this section as they are only 29p. Unless cards are for someone very special I don't tend to spend a lot on cards I would sooner spend the money on a present that a piece of card that will end up in the bin, they also sell cheap wrapping paper as well as the usual paper pens and all kids painting needs.

They sell a wide range of cleaning products and when there washing powder is on offer it is a real bargain. It has well known branded products items as some unknown brands.

Food is yet another range that has some well known and some unknown brands. It is all long life food in tins, packets and jars.
There is a wide range of alcohol and soft drinks which are at a reasonable price.

They also sell seasonal items for Christmas and the gardening the summer.

Returns and refunds

I have returned a few items and they have always been accepted but had two different experiences

I returned a blind but couldn't find the receipt. I walked into the shop and went straight to the till. The supervisor was called and I was asked if I had seen a lady in the first aisle and told her I didn't and was told I could have just picked this item up and just took it to the till. I was quite offended by this. I am not thief and as they don't have customer services at the entrance is not my fault .I did keep clam and informed them if they have CCTV at the entrance they would see my entering the store with it. It was refunded s long as I spent the value in store which is never hard for me in this store.

My second experience I returned a memory foam pillow as it smelt vile and I could never sleep on it. I had my receipt this time and again the supervisor was called but a refund back onto my card was done with no issue

My shopping experience.

I love this shop and don't think I have ever gone in this store and walked out without buying anything. The ranges aren't as extensive as supermarkets but there is enough to give a choice.

I would definitely recommend this store and suggest you watch out for star buys.

Summary: Definately worth a look
