Advantages: Prices are very low; A good selection of everything

Disadvantages: None

I love Home Bargains and visit the ones in Birmingham a lot mainly for the toiletries but my local one has started selling cheaper booze and has widened their range of foods as well so you can do a bit of shopping in here as well.

You have to go in and browse round because they're like the pound shop and sell stuff dead cheap but once it's gone there's no guarantee they're going to get it in again.

My local one is pretty big and used to be an old Tesco supermarket so it's a big shop. The first long aisle is taken up with toiletries and then baby goods further up in the shop. When my mum was pregnant she brought loads of my little sisters bits and pieces from here like the changing mat, stocked up on wipes and Johnsons baby bath because they were loads cheaper than in other shops. She got a wicked bargain for £6.00 and it was a big lilac Johnsons plastic box full of baby toiletries and I don't know why it was so cheap because they're still £16.00 in Tesco!

The toiletries are mostly brand names but there are some that I've never heard of before and even them are worth trying because they're proper cheap and some of them are really good. They sell hair dye, toothpaste, moisturiser and stuff like that and all of it is a lot cheaper than in Boots and other chemists.

The next aisle is stuff for the home like big canvas pictures, cushions and things like that. I've never brought nothing from this bit and I don't think my mum has either but they have some nice things in, there was some brill zebra print rugs in the shop last month but I never got round to buying one and when I remembered they'd all gone!

The food is spread across 2 aisles and it's all tinned, packet and boxed stuff. The use by date is sometimes very short and you have to check in the shop because it's not such a bargain if you get the food home and have to chuck it because you can't eat it all in time! The biscuits and tins of soup are the best buys I reckon, this week my mum got some Baxters soups for 39p a tin and that's a proper bargain because it's nearly £1.00 in Tesco.

There's kids clothes and toys for sale as well and when I went in last week they were just starting to sneak a few Xmas decorations onto the shelf but I reckon I'll wait a few weeks before I start buying stuff like that!!!!! I got my little sister some smart Iggle Piggle PJs a few weeks ago and they were only £2.99 even though the price tag on them said £11.00, she looks wicked in them and it's a good job Iggle Piggle is still her fave tv character.

If you've got a Home Bargains by you go and have a look because even though some of the stores look a bit grotty there are some wicked bargains to find.

Summary: The Best Bargain Shop Going With Loads Of Stuff Even Cheaper Than Poundland
