0/10 !!! bought dining table + 6 chairs in feb 08 over internet - sept 08 springs in padded chairs pop - i report to homebase direct - who arrange replacement/collection for following week - but then fail to turn up! i ring in and am told someone had 'un-booked' the order!? ask if i can re-book but told no because the person dealing with it had gone home ( it was 3.15pm) - i am irate and am promised a call back next day at 9.30am to arrange delivery - call fails to arrive! I ring homebase again - delivery booked for a week later - they turn up with 2 chairs - not 6! and a note to collect 2 broken ones - not 6! driver rings office and says someone will ring me within half hour - they dont - i got fed-up waiting so ring them - then am told that the chairs are now out of stock and they are going to contact me in 7-14 days with a new date! unbelievable i know - we have no chairs they are disassembled as instructed by homebase and my requests for some compensation are met with ' I am not willing to authorise anything at this stage; i ask for a refund - answer' not possible and i am not willing to discuss the reason why' - my advice is simple DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM UNLESS THEY ARE SHUTTING DOWN AND YOU GET IT REALLY CHEAP! THEN THEY WONT BE THERE FOR U TO COMPLAIN IF IT BREAKS! THEIR AFTERSALES STINKS!
