I went to Homebase to buy some Garden Shades wood colour,I managed to find one of the colours I wanted,but not the other,I was told to go to the order desk and they would try and do a special order for me.
There were several people in front of me,so I waited patiently,trust me to pick a saturday afternoon!! when my turn came to be served I was very impressed with the young lady who attended to me,she was extremely helpful,and spent quite a while looking on the computer for the items I wanted,the queue behind me was growing by the minute,but she did not get flustered,she was thorough and very helpful,unable to find exactly what I wanted she offered to give me a list of all the colours they stocked,I thought she was going to print it from the computer,but she proceeded to copy the details onto a piece of paper for me !!
I was very pleased with the level of service I recieved,despite not being able to order my goods the lady had taken the time to check thoroughly for me even though there was a queue of people waiting to be served. It would have been quite easy for her to have had a quick peep at the computer and palmed me off with a "sorry madam we cant help you".
I am sure you will all be pleased to hear that I nipped down the road to B&Q,they had what I wanted in stock,the price was 52p higher than Homebase,so I asked if they did a price match,they do,and they sold it to me for over a pound less than Homebase...so I got a good result there !!
