Advantages: some good deals

Disadvantages: bad staff

My local iceland store is hopefully below average, the store itself and the food they stock isnt bad but the staff are not good at all.

The only reason i use iceland instead of farmfoods is that they offer free home delivery on your shopping if you spend £25 or more which means i dont have to struggle home with all the shopping they can just deliver streight to my door.

They are mainly a frozen food shop with lots of freezers which i have to say in my local store are very rarely well stocked, they do offer a small range of non frozen items but these are just the basic things you would find in your local corner shop and are expensive compared to other supermarkets.

They do have some good deals on there meats and on there 5 items for £5 freezers but other than this they are not that cheap on there frozen foods either.

There are 6 checkouts in my local iceland 5 at the front of the store and a hand basket only service at the cigaret kiosk at the back of the store, these are never fully staffed, there have never been more than 3 serving at any time when i have been in there but there are plenty of staff just hanging around not doing anything.

Over all the whole iceland store where we live could do better, much better.

Summary: not a great impression to make on customers
