Advantages: cheap ready made food

Disadvantages: smaller stores having less of a variety

Iceland is widely known for it's frozen food selection, the food they stock is mainly ready meals, ready cooked or easy to make meals, we as a nation are being criticized for not cooking meals from scratch, but as the credit crunch is hitting us hard many family's are resorting to cheap and easy food to feed there family's, me being one of them
I love to shop at Iceland and so every couple of weeks i go to stock up on frozen foods as everything is either £1 £2 £3 and so on.
The actual food itself i cannot fault and is great for growing kids too.
My local store isn't overly big but at the same time has a wide variety of products and always have loads offers on which are great value for money.
A couple of years ago i wouldn't have recommended the frozen meats but in time they have got better and a lot nicer tasting,
For instance a large bag of mince costs £2-3 and can be used to make lots of different meals, cottage pie, chilli, spag bol, lasagne to name a few but you get my drift if your on a budget
The staff are friendly to and try to make your time at the checkout effortless and hasslefree.
I also thinks there idea of free home delivery if you spend over £25 is great too and very handy for mums with pushchairs who don't drive etc
There seasonal foods are brilliant to, by introducing ready made platters which you can just put in the oven making entertaining more fun and alot cheaper than doing it yourself. I mean £5.00 for a 50 piece platter is a bargain.
