Advantages: Some well price items to be had

Disadvantages: Not as much variety as elsewhere

There seems to be an Iceland on every high street and whilst they remain popular i think they offer a limited range of products, however, there are a short list of things which i always buy when in there. These include the fresh pre cooked chicken tikka strips, great for sandwiches or salads straight from the packet. Iceland's 15 tray of eggs which used to be a pound but have not crept up to £1.50 so not such a deal anymore. The bread is two for £1.50 which is still a pretty good buy and finally the frozen chicken i always buy from their as they are a much better quality than Asda's, they do not shrink much once cooked.

Ok enough about my personal buys and more about the store itself, obviously Iceland's angle is that it is mainly a frozen food store however i fail to see much more of a selection of frozen food items in comparison to the larger supermarkets, granted it has it's own brand items but so does every other store.

There are a number of £1 items which whilst not appealing to myself i can see being value for money such as they Oven bake pizza's and currys. There seems to be a lot less shelves produce in comparison to the largest supermarkets and for that reason you may need to buy bits and pieces elsewhere, for me, i'd much rather buy everything in one place if it was competitively priced.

The Iceland's range of party food i have tried, the butter basted chicken joint was nice and was very simple to cook, however the party selection of mini sausages and what not didn't taste any different to your normal economy brand so thumbs down on that front.

As for the adverts they keep knocking out, they are getting out right annoying and enough to make any die hard Iceland supporter shop at Farmfoods.

Summary: A shop where i would pop in for select few items but you can't do a full shop there in my opinion
