Advantages: great prices friendly, clean
Disadvantages: small carparkZ"
I always love it when the Iceland advert comes on TV. Why? Because it stars the wonderful Coleen Nolan! That woman is amazing, and indeed I am one to be sold to celebrity advertising! If Coleen were selling a smelly old sock, no doubt I would buy it! So there's no surprise that I often take a trip to the local Iceland here in Aberdeen!
When you enter the car park for Iceland, which is situated right outside the store, you will find it is very small! At most I have seen seven cars in there, which isn't really a lot at all! When you cross this small space to the far corner you will find a row of trollies. Taking one, you can then enter through the small double doors to enter the shop.
When inside you will find that the shop is in aisles, as most are! In front of you there are two tills, which have long runner belts. In total you will find there are five aisles, each split up into sections of stock. But what do Iceland sell?
Iceland are famous for their frozen foods, but they also stock 'cupboard' goods too. In the first aisle you get the 'seasonal' foods. At Christmas this was full of all sorts of freezer goods such as vegetable packs and yorkshire puddings. There was also shelves here with various biscuits and mince pies.
In the next two aisle you get the basic freezer foods, such as chips, chicken and pizza! I have never seen so much freezer foods before! I especially like the chicken with cranberry they have, its amazing and cooks in twenty minutes! In the next aisle I found the 'cupboard' food, which includes everything from cereals and biscuits to beans and soups! They are all so cheap too! In the last aisle you will find fridges. I liked this part best as last time i went they had that one Muller yoghurt that I could not find anywhere, so I stocked up here! They have all sorts here, from milk and cheese to hams and ready meals.
The Iceland is never too full so it usually takes us a few minutes to get to the tills. The staff in the shop are always very friendly and never stop smiling, which is wonderful! It is so cheap too, a lot of things costing £1. You can get a months worth of shopping for <£40, or at least I can! It is a wonderful shop and I could not live without it!
