Advantages: Price, style and range

Ah Ikea, I do love you, with your style and value for money you allow my home to look half decent.

Living room wise I have had a Klippan sofa, this was very cheap at £110, it had removable covers available in all kinds of colours and patterns which meant a change of decor didn't mean a new sofa was needed. It was listed as 2 seater sofa but easily fitted 3 adults on it. It last well, we still have it today in the hallway.

We also have a lack side table, very inexpensive (£6) made of compressed wood fibre it's very light yet it was strong enough to take the weight our TV for many years, it now still looks very smart in our living room with a plant and some candles on it.

We also have a Lack coffee table, that we use for a Tv bench for our LCD TV, it suits the job perfectly with a shelf below for sky box and xbox.

You can't beat Ikea for simple style and excellent value and their living room furniture is no different.

Summary: really ikea gets a bad rep but I can't fault it
