Advantages: Great value, modern, varied designs

Ikea is a Swedish founded store that has transformed the homes of many and is a magnificent idea. It is predominantly a flat packed based store, whereby you can choose the items you want and then pick up your flat pack and take it home to build your product.

This can be done by either visiting a Ikea based store or shopping online, however not all products are available online. I recommend to get the full experience that you visit the store as then you can see the products in person and try them out if necessary. In the stores there are products for all parts of the home at all budgets, from bathroom to kitchen to bedroom. There is also a cafe in store which does great value food and cakes mainly from a Scandinavian background, so you get to taste a bit of Sweden whilst you're there which I feel really adds to the experience. You can also take food home if you wish as a range of Scandinavian food and drink is available to purchase in store.

Being a DIY buff I find this whole concept to be extremely exciting and whenever I need a new piece of furniture I head to Ikea and cant wait to get home to build the product. The ranges in the store are very up to date, with a modern feel of many different varieties.
I thoroughly recommend a visit!
