Advantages: Beautiful clothes and accessories

Disadvantages: Sizes a bit suspect

I've been a fan of Jane Norman for some time, I love going into their stores to lust over the beautiful clothes and accessories they make but have never been able to buy anything to wear from them. They sell clothes in dress sizes 6-14 and aim them at young women under the age of 25, I'm 30 now but still look young enough to get away with pretending I'm a good 6 years younger than that.

I'm currently a dress size 14 but as Jane Norman make their clothes rather on the small size the clothes usually dont fit. This is very annoying as several times I have seen something I really like but on trying it on find its far too tight or worse yet, especially with jeans, I cant even get them over my hips!

Today I finally bought an item of clothing from them, I was after something warm and snuggly to wear in the current cold weather and wandered into the Jane Norman section of my local Debenhams. I came across a gorgeous light grey short sleeved jumper with a huge cowell style neckline, it had batwing style sleeves and was very soft and warm to the touch, just the thing I was after. The only sizes available were 8-12 which made my heart sink intially, there's no way I'll get into that I thought.

I picked up the size 12 for closer inspection though and thought to myself that it looked very big for a 12 and absolutely huge by Jane Norman standards. My boyfriend encouraged me to try it on and I was shocked to find it fit and looked really good on me! The sales assistant manning the changing rooms gushed about how nice it looked and my boyfriend looked really happy too so how I could refuse?!

I'll be more inclined to actually try their clothes on now I've found something I can actually wear from them. I love their stylish, young, funky clothes which appear to be very well made and are good value. My jumper cost £30 which I think is very reasonable.

The store is laid out well with the clothes and accessories grouped together in styles that compliment each other so its easy to out an outfit together without trawling through everything. The staff are very friendly and helpful plus the carrier bags they give out are fantastic, large and sturdy with rope handles which I can imagine I'll be using for a while to come whilst on further shopping trips.

In my opinion Jane Norman are fantastic, I just wish their ideas of dress sizes were more realistic!

Summary: I love em!
