Advantages: Quality goods at good prices.

Disadvantages: Sales staff can vary.

I miss John Lewis - used to go in there all the time when I lived in London. I still have the 6ft artificial tree I bought in there 6 years ago and it is still going strong - about to get it out and decorate when 1st December arrives!!!

I love the fact you can always get good quality goods at great prices. I remember spending hours hunting for a chrome mug tree. Only to find the cheapest one was John Lewis. But the great thing about John Lewis is that they promise to price match something if you find it cheaper elsewhere.

I have even attempted to use the johnlewis website - to be told they don't deliver to the South West.

They do in fact deliver. When I phoned a different customer service lady I managed to pay extra to get a chest of drawers delivered. I had serched high and low for some where the drawers don't just pull out and fall on your feet - this was for my toddlers room, so most chest of drawers are a hazard.

John Lewis also do beautiful flower arrangements which they deliver. I will try this out on my sister's birthday but the flowers are really exotic and well chosen, not your usual bouquet - they look great on the website and I haven't been disappointed yet.

I used to love trying on the hats in John Lewis with my sister. They have a huge selection, great for weddings!
The sales staff always used to look down their nose at us a little though!

Overall, John Lewis is a brilliant store with a great selection of kitchen goods, furniture, clothes, baby stuff and my mum also loves the shop.

I think John Lewis is great for quality and price.

It's always worth checking out ebay for second hand John Lewis stuff too!
