Advantages: EXcellent customer service

I am going to write this review based on my most recent experience with their customer services department.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy shopping in John Lewis, I like to have a browse and they have so much to offer. The trouble is that looking is normally as far as it goes as everything in there is very much over priced and anything you buy in here is probably much cheaper elsewhere.

For my recent wedding somebody bought us a £50 John Lewis voucher. This was lovely and we was obviously pleased with it but we we looked and looked and could find nothing we wanted in here that wasn't like £20 cheaper elsewhere.

We considered using our voucher to shop at waitrose, John Lewis's sister store for groceries but we always shop at Tesco and again you always pay over the odds for good in this store.

Ok so we needed a sterilliser and somebody had offered to buy us one. Luckily for us it was my aunties who kindly said we could buy it with our voucher and she would give us the cash.

Unfortunately after just 2 months the sterilliser had broken, in which time we had moved and mis placed the receipt. I paniked about this because it was £60 and I certainly did not have another £60 to spare. I took it back to our local store to try my luck at an exchange.

The lady on the baby department was really pleasant. I explained to her what the problem was and she said she would ask the supervisor. No questions asked they exchanged the sterilliser. At irst they gave us onw which was a smaller value than the one we already had as they didn't hve any of ourse but as soon as I pointed this out to her she went into the stock room and found more of them for us.

We walked away happy customers with a brand new sterilliser and because of their excellent customer service we will return there for definate whether their items are above average or not.

Summary: Worth it for the excellent customer service
