Advantages: they have everything

We have been shopping at various John Lewis stores for decades, and have never ever had any problems (other than spending a fortune). Whenever anything goes wrong, they put it right without too much fuss and definitely without giving you hassle.

You also have assurance that they have a price promise, so it is unlikely that you will ever over-pay for anything.

What I really like is the fact that no-one is trying to sell you anything but everyone is always so helpful if you need them. That's the way it should be.
We purchase most of our electrical items and much of our furniture at John Lewis, simply because they normally give you extended warranties and also you can be sure that because of their price promise, you are not over-paying.

Last year we purchased a TV from them, and within a few weeks it broke (not their fault). We notified them, and were advised to return it (or they could collect it if we preferred), and they would replace it. we took it back, it was replaced, no problem.

Isn't that the way it should be?
