John Lewis is a stable of the high street that you know you can always rely on. I have used them for years for items for the home and also the occassional item of clothing and have never been disappointed with either the quality or service.

Earlier this year my partner and I needed a new mattress after our current one which we bought cheaply from another well know retailer developed a problem and became too uncomfortable to use, a trip to John Lewis was on the cards after spotted one we liked and was within our budget on their website.

I would add that the John Lewis website is a doddle to use as well, its simple to find the item that you want and there are clear pictures of everything available and information to have you make an informed choice such as sizes and colours etc...

We visted the Southampton branch of John Lewis to check out the mattress we had our eye on, a member of staff was quickly on hand to show us the selection available and encouraged us to kick off our shoes and try them out for size and comfort without being too pushy to make a sale. At one point he left us alone to look around ourselves before returning to check if we'd make our minds up.

Ordering our mattress was simple, just a case of taking our address and payment details which took all of 5 minutes. The mattress arrived within a week and is the most comfortable thing in the world, it was worth every penny we spent on it and should last a good few years as John Lewis items normally do. The delivery was hassle free with the van arriving at the allocated time and two very helpful guys taking the mattress to the room we wanted it in, they didnt even bat an eyelid at the two flights of stairs facing them.

I would recommend John Lewis to anyone as their products and customer service are outstanding, their prices very competitive and of course they are a name you can trust
