Advantages: Price match guarantee provides great prices aswell as a great experience

Disadvantages: If only it were easier to get a job here..

John Lewis is a fantastic department store with a lot of things going for it. Firstly they create a very nice shopping environment by not overcrowding the floors, providing a good level of staff and enough tills to prevent long queues.

Secondly and perhaps most importantly, John Lewis offer a lowest price guarantee where they will match any price on a product for which they are selling for a higher price. This is good because they will match it even after you have bought the product. This avoids those situations where you don't want to look at the price of something you have bought in any other store after you have bought it.

John Lewis also offer very good advice on things, particularly electronics and then particularly cameras. They are very good on nearly everything but their staff are very knowledgeable about all kinds of cameras.

Finally John Lewis offer very good after sales support, if something does not work properly for instance they will sort it out very fast and they are never at all hard shouldered in their approach to defective goods.

A fantastic store that is worth travelling to (or just visit their website).
