My local John Lewis is Brent Cross. It is the only place I will go to buy electrical goods. They sell good stuff - the top brands and a better range than Dixons tho' not as wide as someone online like empiredirect.com

Whilst the staff are busy, when you do get their attention they are knowledgeable, fair and you won't be talking to some spotty youth talking bullsh!t. This is useful when buying white goods for the kitchen.

We've bought TV's, VCR's, a printer, Hifi, Washing machine, Vaccy... from them. The prices are always competitive. Yes - I know you can buy online for less. But you don't need to.

Why? Because if you print off the webpage with the price (in GBP) John Lewis will match it. I did this when I bought my printer from them. Also they'll deliver free. Or you can just take the goods home with you. Their warranties are free (more than can be said for Dixons, Comet et al). 5yrs on a TV for free! Let's see Dixons match that.
