Dreadful and appalling service!

I ordered a cot bed and mattress from Kiddicare for my brother and his wife. I gave clear instructions for both items to be delivered to my brothers house in south west London.

Both items were shown as having been despatched on the 22nd January, with the mattress being delivered the very next day, which I thought was excellent. However there was no sign of the cot bed and it didn't seem to appear on the order tracking system operated by the delivery company.

When I returned home on the 2nd Feb I found a card from the delivery company stating that they had tried to deliver a package. Having checked with my neighbour I found that the cot bed had been addressed and delivered to the billing address, rather than the delivery address.

Having gone straight on line and logged into the Kiddicare website I completed a query form asking for some assistance in sorting out the error.

Although the responses have been reasonably rapid I'm afraid that they are of no help what so ever. Although they are prepared to collect the parcel and re-deliver, the delivery company employed by Kiddicare can only collect from 12 - 6 Monday to Friday and not at weekends.

Having made the point that I work Monday to Fridays and am out from 6.30 in the morning until 7.30 or 8 at night the suggestion is that I either deliver the parcel to 'my local depot' myself, leave it in the back garden (in this weather!) of carry it round to a friend or neighbours (it weighs 25 kgs) and at no time have they asked if I'm physically capable of lifting this parcel!

In the five e-mails that have passed back and forth I have provided my mobile number twice with a request that someone calls me to arrange - neither request was acknowledged in the reply and I've certainly not received a phone call!

I have now asked for the contact details for the line supervisor or manager so I can escalate the issue to someone who has some authority but the first request was ignored and the second is pending.

My advice is - go somewhere else!

Summary: Go somewhere else!
