Advantages: you dont have to leave the house, many items you dont see other places, reasonably priced

Disadvantages: you dont see the items first

It would be rare if you have not at some time or other had a Kleeneze magazine/catalogue through your letter box.

It advertises itself as The easy way to shop from home.

It will appear with an order form and instructions to place your order and leave outside your door on a certain day the next week.

It is as the name suggests full of items to buy that will make cleaning easier. It is though getting bigger and wider spread and you do now even get a kleeneze plus magazine and even a New 48 page Health and Beauty catalouge.

So what has this Health and Beauty catalogue got to make it different from the others you may well ask.

Well the first thing you notice is that the prices are very reasonable. There are a lot of items I havent seen before and think that they could come in very useful. A complete home manicure and pedicure system for £14.99 and glasses repair kit and magnifer for only £3.99. For the young there is a hair accessories pack for £4.99 and butterfly mini hairclip for only £1.99. For the men there are hair clipper sets for onlhy £13.99 so you can cut your hair without going to the hairdressers and even a mini nose and ear hair trimmer (thats what they say mini nose!) £5.99.

They also do excercise accessories, monitors for the heart, blood etc.

One thing to be very careful about is that they show things like haldalls with a lot of items in it and then say "not included". I cant help wondering how many have missed those 2 words and thought you got the lot.

The other catalogue is for the home.

It has a homecare section, laundry, kitchen, home ideas, bed and bath, garden and workshop.

Once again the prices are very reasonable and have a good picture of the item with a very good write up describing the item.

Here again they do have the usual items such as things for the microwave- fish/vegetable steamer, egg poacher, omelette make.

We do then get the more unusual items like for £2.99 a Bra bag to wash your bra, trainers washing bag £5.99 which is an excellent idea as you wont get the bang bang bang of them going around in the drum and my favourite which I would love to buy but my dog would be the laughing stock of the town and his street cred with all his friends would go down is a doggy umbrella. You attach the chain to your dogs collar and to look at it it looks like a brolly blown inside out with the wind with a dog under it!

Kleeneze claim they dont disturb you as they get you to leave your order outside and they will bring you the item in 3-12 days and you do not even have to pay until you get the item.

I've been selling the products recently, the quality of about 80% of them is very poor, it's actually quite embarrasing handing some of them to my customers. I have had several returns because the products are such poor quality.

I would say - don't by from them and certainly DONT JOING THEM!!!

I am a Kleeneze distributor and have been doing this business for 7 months now. Our recent 4 week income was for £530 for a part-time commitment of 15 hours. This is a really interesting and balanced review and it is always useful to get some objective feedback from customers. The quality of your shopping experience with the company does depend to a great extent on the quality of the distributor that you deal with. If you have a good distributor in your area then use them and stick with them, politely telling any other distributors that you already have a distributor. A good one will

* regularly come round (av. 1 every 4 wks)
* return to pick up the catalogue on the day they say
* return to pick it up the next day if you have not put the catalogue out
* tell you when they expect to deliver - we deliver within 7 days and tell our customers which day we deliver on
* deal promptly and efficiently with any product returns you have because you are not satisfied with the goods and give you a full refund.

Choose the distributors that look organised and do what they say they will do and you can build up a very good relationship with that distributor. We have some great customers and we really enjoy our work providing them with the best service we can. THAT is the way to make money out of this business, just like any other retail venture, good service, good products. Usually the ones that say that it is a rip-off and that you don't earn anything did not do this part of the business well and didn't get a good round of customers as a result.
