Advantages: good money eventually
Disadvantages: hard work, horrible customers, weather
Ive been a kleeneze distributor for 8 years now, i joined when i was in university, as a way to make some extra money, and liked it so much, i left uni. My first collection i did my own neighbourhood, and i know alot of people avoid this, as they dont want to be seen, but i did very well and picked up £100 from 50 books, which is about £21 profit.
I worked my butt off in my first few months in kleeneze, dropping about 800 books a week, money didnt bother me, so although i lost loads of books, i just ordered more. Anyway within 3 months, i'd got my income up to £800 a month, my partner then, left his job, and we worked full time on the business. We built the business up and started team building, we hit gold in a year, which is turnover over of about £9000 a month, a year later we hit senior which is a turnover of £18000 a month and a year after that we hit bronze which is £27000 a month turnover, which is about £2000 a month wages. This was alot of hard work and is by no means easy. We worked 7 days a week, and had constant abuse from customers and our team.
I think kleeneze is a great business, but its not for everyone, you have to be very thick skinned, and its very hard when you lose catalogues, and have to buy more, which eats into your profits. People laugh at you, even your own family, but you have to remain strong.
Overall its a great business, it costs about £120 to join, and if you are a hard worker, and prepared to go out in the bad weather and not worry what people think then this is for you.
Summary: a great business, you get out what you put in.

- 21/07/09 Well done! I am a Kleeneze distributor myself. Last Friday I collected 100 catalogues from a drop I did on Wednesday. It hammered it down with rain from start to finish and then some. I was absolutely drenched, cold, wet and miserable and yet, guess what, I wouldn't have it any other way. I am in business, albeit on a P/T basis, and I am my own boss. I decide when I want to work, how many hours I work and how much I want to earn. Having said that, if I didn't do the work at the times when I really don't want to do it, i.e. in bad weather or when I am not feeling very well then I don't deserve to make any money. Working outside is great when the suns shining but we live in England and if I didn't do anything when the weather was bad I wouldn't do very much at all. It is a business, not a hobby, and it can be tough from time-to-time, my income will suffer if I do not treat as a serious business and I will likely fail. As your own boss you sometimes have to be tougher with yourself than your boss in your day job might be but, and this is the fantastic thing, if you make myself work harder you will earn more money and have a better lifestyle! No false promise or hopes of a promotion, or payrise, from a boss who cares only about the company and not about you! You are in control of your own destiny and making things happen for yourself. |
