Advantages: Good ideas, reasonable prices, no hard sell

Disadvantages: not always a guaranteed delivery date

This review is being written from a customer point of view - not from a distributor's perspective.

Most of us have had a kleeneze catalogue pushed through the door at some point.

I usually just put it back outside for collection without even looking in the catalogue.

However, more recently a family friend lost his job due to the recession and decided to become a kleeneze distributor. As a result I received their kleeneze catalogue through the door and decided to buy something from it to help him out a little.

Catalogue>>>>>>>>>

The catalogue is full of quirky little items which draw the attention of the reader. Kleeneze appear to sell a range of products, from electricals, to beauty products to gadgets to kitchen utensils. This includes more expensive pots and pans, right down to utensils for just a few pounds.

At the back of the catalogue you will find your distributor's name and contact details. Basically you write what you want on a list, along with a code for the item and the price. You then put your catalogue back on the doorstep for collection along with your list. The collection date specified can be found on the front of the catalogue. You pay when you receive the items.

On a recent occassion I ordered an 'egg poacher' - which cost £4. The poacher came as a plastic contaciner which can poach up to 4 eggs at a time. I was a little disapointed that there were no instructions with it - not that I need it but I think that you should get some instruction along with most products.

Good points about Kleeneze>>>>>>>>>>

There are some interesting and useful products advertised. You might even find some good gift ideas for christmas.

No hard sell - you just choose a product (or not) and put the catalogue outside. No contact with the seller if you choose not to buy.

Reasonable prices on a range of products.

It's easy to become a Kleeneze distributor yourself if you want - just see the back of the catalogue.

Bad points about Kleeneze>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>

You have to wait until the seller has managed to place an overall order amount. In my case the seller had to sell £250 worth of orders - in the meantime I had to wait for my order - so no guaranteed date of arrival.

Note >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;

Please make sure that you give the catalogue back to the distributor whether you buy or not. I did not realise this - but it costs the distributor 50p per catalogue. The family friend I know looses a third of the catalogues he distributes as they are not returned or damaged - that's quite a lot of income he looses.

Overall>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>

Have a look in your catalogue - some good stuff in there!

Summary: Worth a look - some good products

Im with Kenjohn on this company - some good ideas but at too expensive prices and Lakeland often sell them at reduced prices - not a company that is often known for lower prices.

I find their prices are a wee bit on the high side...Ken
