La-Redoute, how long should you have to wait for them to deliever? (La Redoute)

Advantages: Cheap, fashionable and different.

Disadvantages: Too long for delievery, quality of garments and sizing!

I find La-redoute to have nice fashionable clothes and reasonably priced, however I do think the quality and sizing of their garments could be better. I find I have to order a size smaller and even then some of them are too big!

I have ordered several times from La-redoute and everytime I have ordered I come across one major problem...Delivery!

I have ordered over the phone and found their customer service operators to be pleasant. I have also ordered online and have had no trouble placing the order. However, when it comes to delivery they always say 7-10 working days or advise if an item is out of stock and when it is expected! But I have found with all my orders and I've placed about 3-4 orders throughout the year with prices ranging from £50-£180 that I am waiting weeks and weeks for delivery on all items.

I have waited 3months on one occasion for an item. Also if you have ordered several items, they all seem to come one or two items at a time. So be aware if you have told them to delivery to your work address!

I am reluctant to place orders as it has happened everytime when I have placed an order.
I have spoken to their customer services department regarding this issue and they were very sympathetic but still could not really help. They keep telling me it comes from there warehouse in france. However, they did give me a 10% discount.

I find their customer service operators easy to deal with and they try to help with your issues. But the initial automated system can be frustrating.

Once I have received the items, I have had no problems returning them if needed. I have either done it at the post office (they now charge £1 for this service) or I call the courier which is free to pick up.

I find they always seem to send alot of post through the door too, advertising that they have a gift waiting for you at there warehouse or 10% 20% discount on your favourite item. if i do place an order I would wait until they send me these discounts or gift before placing an order.

My friend and I have made a joke out of it. Saying if you want something for summer you need to order it at christmas! With this in mind, I would personally not order somthing I want within a week or two.

Summary: Order early to avoid disappointment! So don't order it if you want it for a special occasion.
