Advantages: Lovely range of designs, styles and sizes, great sales, good customer service

They always say one of the best ways a woman can treat herself and feel good about herself and her body is by splashing out on underwear. I don't mean just your bog-standard half fitting bras, bargain multipacks of pants and onesie pajamas. I mean well-fitting clothes that flatter you, pretty designs that you like and something that makes you feel beautiful and comfortable at the same time.

La Senza is a highstreet lingere and nightwear store that provides styles to suit a range of tastes and bodies. It can be a bit daunting to go into a specialist shop like this, rather than for example picking something up in New Look, because it's smaller and quieter. I was first drawn to La Senza when I saw the pretty designs in the window displays...next to a huge SALE sign. That instantly put a smile on my face! There are often sales in this store and because it's increasing in popularity there are stores in most cities :o)

The product range is essentially made up of:

Bras
Pants
Nightwear
Hoisery
Beach (in some stores during the summer)
Shape wear (to get a certain shape to your body, like those scary stomach flattening pants)
Clothing (only larger stores, not a big variety)
Gifts and Accessories (small trinket items, such as makeup)

The underwear and nightwear range is really good as you can usually find the design you want in your size. The annoying thing when you go shopping is that you find a bra you love, perfect design and on sale, but then it's in every size except yours. They do bras from a 30A to 38FF and extra large sizes after that I believe. As far as I'm aware, the pants and pjs go from a size 8 to 20, so they do try to cover a range of sizes.

I love the designs in La Senza, there's plenty to choose from. The front of the store usually stocks the more expencive and unique bras, then at the back are usually the slightly cheaper and more basic-design/special design (ie. plain multiway) bras. The prices, for myself, seem quite high as the fancier ones are £15 - £30. I only see this as a tad expencive because I'm used to primark underwear, so actually the prices are probably about average.

The quality is very high. I've got lots of bras from La Senza now, I've probably had 10 from there, and they've all kept their shape well. They're well made, no errors in stitching or funny pointy shapes where there shouldn't be any.

If you have any queries on the items or about your size, the staff there are extremely helpful. There are nice fitting rooms to try your products on in. I'm not sure if they're the same everywhere, but all the stores I've been in have a lush red curtain and the assistant comes in an pulls it across to ensure you have privacy. There's also a buzzer in there, perhaps incase you somehow get entangled in your bra and start strangling yourself. I'm not sure.

When you find a bra that fits your size, they always seem to do what they should do. They support, they look lovely and sit where they should. Their underwear and nightwear range is also very good quality and I've found them all to be well-fitting.

The best bit about going here, as little as it may be, is the nice cardboard bag they give you with a red rope handle, taped together with a red sticker. It makes you feel special that you've bought something that fits well and looks lovely from a very nice store.

Like I've said, they often have sales and they're usually pretty good. Bras can be reduced from £25 to £5 so it's always worth a look in La Senza...highly recommended.
