Newest Review: ... tastes exactly like kelloggs - for 89p. I think people often think that by shopping at Lidl you are buying 'basic' things, but we certainly don't deprive ourselves; we had beef stroganoff for dinner last night! The quality of most of the things I have tried from there is very good. Lidl never used to sell a lot of branded products but when I was in recently I noticed quite a few: Nescafe, Irn Bru, Pepsi, Nesquik, Kinder. The prices of these products are marginally cheaper than elsewhere (except the nescafe- cheapest ive seen has been for £1 in poundland). As a student I have gone out of my way to shop at lidls which was never my local supermarket so that i could save some pennies for the pub! Lidls is cheap because the majority of its produce is foreign, from the continent. the layout of the store is very basic, some sections dont have proper shelves, they just leave towers of products on those big trolleys with the wooden slats. everything is advertised with big labels so you not exactly how much things are. fruit and veg section always have half price offers on. ...
