Advantages: cheap goods

Disadvantages: bargains sell out v fast!

Our local Lidl opened late last year with mixed expectations from the town. However most of the doubters have been proved wrong, the store is doing relatively well in these difficult times and the shopping experience is a pleasant one. The offer leaflet that is issued weekly does have some amazing bargains in it at times however the old saying of the early bird catches the worm most definitely apples in this case. Quite often only one or two of the best offers are delivered to each branch of the store so if there is an amazing bargain in the leaflet don't hold your breath on your odds of getting one! The smaller bargains are normally better stocked however. The fruit and vegetables are good quality and I find they last longer than the ones I have purchased from other supermarkets. the tinned goods are on the whole ok although it is often a case of take a chance and try something you wouldn't normally have!
All in all if you haven't been into a Lidl before give it a try! You may find that it is perfect for you!
