Advantages: Incredibly cheap

Disadvantages: Will definately burst over your carpet or legs

Do not on any account buy bin bags from Lidl as they have a near 100% failure rate. These were designed to give away as housewarming gifts to people you really hate. They will spontaneously disintegrate into shreds within seconds of lifting out of the bin. If you are lucky you might be able to drop the bag on the floor before it disgorges its contents over your carpet / hall / legs. Even when double (or triple) bags are used the contents still seem to find weak seams and holes. ONLY BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT TO BE VERY UNHAPPY!!

If you want good cheap bin bags here is (in my opinion) a rating:
1 - Safeway value - failure rate low
2 - Asda value - failure rate lowish as long as the bags are not too full
3 - B&Q household - a reasonably tough bag but requires careful handling.

Perhaps you should just buy expensive bin bags, but to me this seems a waste as they just go straight in the bin (haha). Still spare a thought for the poor Germans who are forced to recycle a great range of rubish, having to pay for additional rubbish to be collected over their two bag a week quota.

Additional note 9/10/2000....having recently been into Lidl I noted that they now have a heavy duty bag at a price cheaper than heavy duty bags in other supermarkets. Bought some of these and they don't fall to pieces. Therefore I would recommend that if you are buying bin bags from Lidl get the expensive ones and leave the cheap ones alone.

Viz your comment of "only buy them if you want to be unhappy", I can only say that it's a shame that you don't have the other Alistair's floppy ears, as I'm sure that you'd get lots of strokes on them otherwise.

FYI - Tesco do a *value* bin bag which has a similar disadvantage. (Why are such things considered good value when you have to use 3 at a time??)

Your Op made me smile on the 2nd day back at work so - THANKS!
