Lidls opened 3 stores in our area last year and after hearing lots of people saying how good there prices were i thought i would give them a go. Instead of going to my local supermarket i went to lidls, i had heard so many people saying how cheep they are but i dont think they are any cheaper unless you want alcohol. Lidls ...

I think Lidl is brilliant brilliant. The stuff they sell is normally pretty good quality and the prices are excellent. I shop in there at least once a week, and the staff are always helpful i have found and they are always working their backsides off. I feel sorry for the staff sometimes because even though they are paid quite well, they always ...

I am a deputy manager in a Lidl store and I would like to tell the general public just what it is like to work there. The particular store I work in is currently internally ranked highly in audits from a customer perspective, so I speak from a position of experience. I hope that through educating people of the harshness that can exisit in Lidl ...

I have always been one to like a bargain and something different and this is exactly what I find when shopping at Lidl. It is not a shop I would ever go near in the past though which I find quite funny as I used to be more snobby and just thought it was full of cheap food. However, lately I have been recommended this place by a lot of friends and ...

Lidl 'Where quality is cheaper' - they arent kidding! (pronounced LEE-DULL not lidl) At the moment a 400gb External hard drive is going for £69.99!! Lidl don't only sell household items but now sell toys and electronics as well as clothes. Every week through the post I receive a lidl leaflet where they show what is ...

Lidls is by far the very best shop where money becomes elastic and buys an immeasurable amount of quality goodies for half the price of Tescos. However, suddenly, the 500ml bottles of Cien Body Lotion with Avocado Oil or with Almond Oil no longer appear on the Lidl shelves in Hayle and Penzance in Cornwall, UK. This superior quality ...

Hi all. I have noticed a lot of people on the site have been dissing lidl in terms of its customer service, and having no 'perks' to the shopping. I am a manager at a branch and as so can give you some info on why this is the case. Why do we have so few staff? we hire good quality staff who work hard and long. Predominantly this ...

Limavady Lidl has the most ignorant and unhelpfulness staff but reading some of these reviews it seems they all have the same problem.
There is a senior female member of staff in Limavady who swears and verbally abuses her work colleagues and how she ever got into this role is beyond me!!
Her abrupt and disgraceful manner would put anyone off using the store

I started using lidl 2 years ago after receiving a flyer through the post, I went in there, and was surprised at the stuff they have in there, but if you want the offers you have to be an early bird, as if you get in there late there is usually nothing left. I have brought tools, car equipment, and various other bits and pieces. I have to say ...

Extremely poor service. The products might be cheap but the customer service is crap. I bought a papaya today which the sign said 49p but when got to the cash register the manager checked us out but charged us 89p when I pointed this out to him he ignored me. I didn't get my 50p back nor an apology. I've never had a positive experience in this ...

About 8 months ago a lidl store opened near by, and to cut a very long story a bit shorter I shopped there once and was converted, and I have abandoned the major supermarkets almost entirely. Lidl is fantastic! The range and quality is outstanding and our weekly shopping bill has dropped from around £100 to around £45. In my day job I supply ...

I queued for half an hour for a 99quid Freeview under-cupboard TV. When I got home it was 2nd hand. Rushed back and swapped it (no hassle) for a new one, got home and it didn't work. Spoke to Lidl customer service who said that they cannot check stock levels or even get one shipped from another store if they did find one by telephoning (I'd have ...

Three months ago a Lidl supermarket opened just a few streets away from me in Stoke on Trent. Having heard lots about Lidl from friends - some who love it, some who loathe it with a passion - I decided I'd better check it out two weeks ago. Before I rate Lidl, I feel I must let you know what kind of shopper I am. I don't buy 'economy' ...

For as long as I can remember I have always shopped in the usual Tesco or Sainsburys, it had always been the most obvious choice and something that I had been familiar with for most of my life really! Then when I moved homes 3 years ago I found that I had a huge Lidl situated just across the road from my flats, put it this way I can see ...

Talking about Lidl, boy if ever there was a supemarket chain that knows nothing about making shopping easy you don't need to look far. No small shopping baskets, items are misplaced under different pricing sleeves, plastic bags are at the other end of the till making it difficult for a customer to get a bag in case they forget and of course no staff on the shopfloor to ask where items are. Absolutely hopeless!

How I agree with your reviewer concerning the absence of instruction books in English. I to live in Spain and at present am looking at a instruction booklet in 8 languages yes , you have guessed, not one in English.
Where oh where can I get the instructions from ???

Lidl is one of the best things to happen to England.. its prices are low and value good. Having lived in Germany for some years (forces) I rated the Germans for their food. Lidl had on sale at Christmas Salmon - 700grams for 3:99 covered in herbs - superb, if I could find where they got it from I would buy a freezer full. Shop there all the time now.

I find there stores clean and the staff helpful and chatty, unlike some of our English one's, I rate most of there food fair at the cost, Asda and other big stores like them have told me to shop elsewhere if i dont like staff attitude when complaining, My grouse was a bird flying about in asda over fresh uncovered food, and ignorant people who ...
