Advantages: Cheap, unique pieces, stylish
Disadvantages: Might not be the right size, can look different in real life, no way to try out clothes
Before beginning with this review, I have to note that I've had very little experience with ordering anything other than clothes from Littlewoods. Saying that, my mother had ordered a laptop from them which turned up at the doorstep of our house in good condition and worked perfectly.
Littlewoods is a mailorder business which send catalogues through the post to their customers. However, they had now branched out to online ordering system, which I find to be very convenient. The catalogues are quite thick but it got a large range of clothes ranging from maternity, childrens and babies, menswear and ladieswear. They also sell homewares and electronics.
From my previous experience of ordering at Littlewoods I had found their clothes to be of very good quality and quite stylish. Unlike a high street shop where you buy something and by the end of the week you'll be seeing more and more people wearing the same thing, I've found out that I've not seen many people wearing the same dress/clothes as mine.
The prices are also reasonable although it is more expensive for the designer stuff. Labels to look out for are South and LoveLabel which are cheap compared to the rest. Furthermore, Littlewoods is also a good place to stock up on basic as offers such as "3 tops for £10" are quite common. A good time to find bargains is when they're having a sale - I've picked up a gorgeous turquoise dress for £15 that way, slashed from £45.
All in all, Littlewoods is a great place to shop for clothes. On the other hand, they sometimes run out of stock and send you replacements that might not be to your taste. Furthermore, it can be quite a hassle returning back items to them (sorting out postage etc.)
