Advantages: convenience and needed
Disadvantages: none
This review is based on my local Lloyds pharmacy in Bletchley.
I tend to go quite often as it is only 2 minutes away.
The staff are always helpful and I often stop and chat with them as they are always full of local gossip.
The shop itself is quite small, but offers everything a normal chemist will do from vitamins to bubble bath.
It stocks a small selection of gifts closer to certain special dates usually christmas easter and mothers and fathers day.
They deal with any perscription quickly the longest I have ever waited was 10 minutes. However usually I drop it in and collect on way back from the school run.
They also have a room where you can see the phamacist in private if required.
My local pharmacy does common ailments scheme where you can get free medicine, if you are registered with certain GPs and are eligable.
They also do a perscription collection service as well. Which is where they collect the repeat perscription from the doctors and get your medicines ready for you by a certain day, so no more running back and forth for yourself.
They also do a free diabetes test. And will carry out a pregancy test if you take in a sample.
You can also buy tamiflu from Lloyds in advance of catching swine flu from their website at the cost of £48.50, and ladies over 18 who wish to be vaccinated against cervical cancer can arrange for this via their website at a cost of £450.
My pharmacy also now sells frontline and other flea treatments for your pets and home.
The shop always has some offers on baby products and very often sell baby wipes for 99p each.
Summary: a great little shop that gives me my drugs.
