I have shopped with Long Tall Sally from the outset, and I think perhaps tall women 'of a certain age' have forgotten what a nightmare it was to shop for the correct length clothes. Also, how insulting the assistant's 'well, you are very tall, madam' remark raised the hackles. Before LTS I just grabbed virtually anything which fitted, which lead to many mistakes and unworn clothes. Initially, I shopped in Baker Street and did not particularly enjoy the experience, but once the Colchester branch had opened, this was my shopping venue of choice. Having been shopping at LTS since 1981 it still amazes me that they still don't seem to listen to their customers. Overall the 'something that almost fits is better than nothing' rule applies. I'm 6 ft. Their sizing is wayward so much so that I have a size 12 jacket and a size 20 dress. They do cater for office workers too much and don't have enough cotton or natural fibres in their ranges. Their sales are slap dash in that if you are a size 8 or 20 you can find a bargain. Otherwise tough. Longer tee shirts have been purchsed at H&M and any one with a belly will have to suffer those hipsters. Not that you can find a highrise trouser/jean although advertised in the literature. Come on LTS get back to your customers. Ask them what they want. Not what you want us to buy...

Excellent quality however, I find the range very restricting. The design of the clothes all appear to aim for the more mature conservative lady. There is very little that actually compares with the current trends on the High Street, those that do always appear to be not quite right or just on the frumpy side. Do they think that tall women dont want to look trendy or just a bit funky?
I understand aswell that the outlets will be reducing and concentration will be mainly on the Online shopping. If this is so cant they make the mail order a credit basis same as any other mail order companies. If this is not possible bring back the stores and stock them with sufficient numbers of sizes so that us 'tallies' can enjoy a good shopping trip.
