Advantages: nice treat
Disadvantages: bit more expensive
Lush is a shop that sells fresh handmade cosmetics. Helen Ambrosen is a Lush founder and inventor. She fought to make the Lush products safe and environmentally friendly.
You know when you are approaching a Lush store as the scent of the products waft out of the doorway. When you enter the store although they are rather small they contain lots of different products. The stores are very modern and most of the store I have been in have bright lighting and nice wooden floors and shelves. It is a very shop to wander around in and set out very nicely.
They sell many cosmetics which are handmade (some you can see being made in-store) All the products have a named sticker to identify which member of staff has made the product. To name a few of the products that they sell: Ball ballistics, soaps, Bath bubble bars,Cleanser, toners, perfume, hair care products plus many more. They also have seasonal ranges and do ready wrapped gift boxes which are perfect as gifts.
The staff in the shop are the most helpful and friendly assistants I have ever met. They are always smiling and willing to help offer advice. I always feel very comfortable when entering the store. You spend ages just wandering around looking at the products.
The products in the store are a bit more expensive than the usual cosmetics. I do like to buy the products as a treat and also it is nice to know that you are doing a little something to help the environment and that they in the main contain natural products. The stores are found in most town centres and shopping centres. They also have an online site.
Summary: nice treat and a pleasant change

- 09/01/09 None of the products are actually made in store! It's an illusion, really they're just potting the product that was made in the factory! |
