Advantages: Everything. Perfect. I love it.
Disadvantages: None whatsoever.
Everyone deserves to smell and look beautiful. This will without fail be the outcome if you put down those high street nasties and buy ALL your bathroom goods from the diamond of a store that is Lush.
Lush not only sell the most wondrous, natural, essential oils packed bath and body products, but their skincare is also second-to-none. Who wants to buy stupidly overpriced designer 'skin care' that is in a plastic bottle, paper box, plastic wrapping, blah blah, and is actually made up of chemicals, alcohol, water and preservatives?? Seriosuly, please read the ingredients lists, guys...I used to be the user of a certain 3 step 'skin care' routine, and my skin never improved a jot while I was using it. The minute I started using Lush, however, was a bit of a miracle moment. Within days my skin was more even, less spotty, smoother and less itchy/irritable...this was from using Angels on Bare Skin, Ultrabland, Tea tree water and Gorgeous, all of which can be found on Lush's skin care wall. They are now my absolute skin care staples...
Lush's ethics are also outstanding; they have won awards for their green, natural, caring approach to the environment. Everything packaging wise is either unpackaged or is made of recycled plastic/paper, everything instore is recycled, they never test on animals or work with companies that do test on animals, they support local, national and worldwide charities and communities, they only use chemicals or preservatives where absolutely necessary, they use only the best essential oils and responsibly source them...my God I could go on for several thousands of words for all the brilliant contributions Lush makes to this world.
The products are handmade, which is somewhat of a rareity in today's consumerist society. I have been lucky enough to go to the factory in Poole and watch the ballistics be squeezed together, the stars put on the Green Day bubble bars, the fresh fruit and veg being squished and juiced...No other company works in such a way.
I can honestly say I am Lush til I die...there are very few products that I don't love, about 98% of my cosmetics come from there, they are excellent value for money as you are paying for the top-quality ingredients, not the plastic/bottle/pot/box etc, and my skin and hair have HONESTLY never looked as good as they do after my lovely twice-weekly Lush bath.
Summary: Get to your local Lush today and give your skin what it deserves.

- 21/05/09 Welcome to dooyoo! Lush is one of the few shops that I haven't shopped in yet. |

- 21/05/09 Whilst I do love Lush, I am also a user of a certain 3 step skin care regime. I stopped using it for a while but my spot came back, big red and angry and tons of blemishes. I've gone back to and they've calmed right down again :) saying that, Lush's vanishing cream works wonders on troubled skin like mine, and it smells good too! |
