I am reviewing my local Lush store, which is located at the above address.
I often buy products from Lush and if I am unable to get into town, then will buy them online too. When purchasing online, the orders arrive quickly (3 days later last time!) and are always exactly what I have requested. They also arrive packed in popcorn instead of polystyrene which is great for the environment too.
I receive the Lush Times (a brochure with information about current projects, new products etc) through the post so am kept aware of what is going on, you can also pick this brochure up in store. When I saw the new Christmas range, I decided to pop in and treat myself to a few things under the pretence of "trying them out" as potential Christmas gifts!
So, I bought 2 bubble bars and 2 bath ballistics and these cost me £9 for the lot. I went home and had a "So White" bath ballistic in my bath.
This is a fizzy apple scented ballistic and is absolutely delicious. It takes ages to fizz through the water and leaves the whole bathroom and your skin smelling gorgeous and apple like for ages afterwards. I have slightly sensitive skin and this didn't cause any adverse reactions.
The staff in the shop are lovely, really keen to help without being pushy. They also have a great understanding of the products and are happy to answer any questions.
There is a large range of products from shaving balms to moisturisers to soaps to bath products to lip balms. There really is something for everyone and they also sell lovely little boxed sets ranging from around £7 onwards. These can make great presents, stocking fillers or even secret santa gifts.
All products are handmade from completely natural ingredients and they never test on animals. Have a look at their website for loads more information on the charities that they support too, they genuinely try to make a difference by giving something back, which makes you feel that you are being virtuous by supporting Lush while treating yourself!
Though I do buy them at Christmas, I also go in throughout the year and treat myself, then enjoy that special bath with some candles, a treat from Lush and a glass of wine - bliss!
Definitely recommend this store, they are great, excellent range, friendly and informative staff and a social conscience too - a definite winner!
Summary: Well worth trying
