Advantages: Great quality, sale goods

Mackays or M & Co as it is now better known, can be found on most High Streets. I have been shopping at Mackays for a good number of years now.

It is a store which sells Ladies, Gents and Childrens Clothing and shoes. Larger stores also have a great selection of bedding, curtains and towels.

Most of the stores that I shop in are on two floors. There is normally a lift to the upper floor.

I shop here quite a lot for my casual wear. I find that I can get trousers which fit me properly and are the correct length. I need trousers which are short in length but are generous at the waist.
I can also find a great range of tops and sweaters. The styles in Mackays are not for the young and trendy, as they tend to cater for the more mature person.

I have bought some of their nightwear as presents for friends and have been told that everything washes very well and is very good quality.

They have a good selection of mens' clothing too, but I have not bought anything from that department.

The children's department is excellent and I can always find something nice for my grandchildren. They stock everything for children from birth to ten years. This ranges from winter coats to summer flip flops.

The most recent purchases that I have made in Mackays are curtains and tea towels. The curtains are very good quality but I have to say that they were quite expensive. The tea towels wash very well and I am more than happy with them.

The stock is always very nicely arranged and the stores look bright and airy. I have always found the staff to be very helpful and polite, no matter which store I am shopping in.

A few months ago I did have to return a top, which I had changed my mind about. I did not have my receipt, therefore I was not entitled to a refund. I was given a credit voucher without any problems.

Each time I visit a store I head for the sales rails first. They always have great reductions on their sale goods. If I am honest, I would have to say that the majority of my purchases, have been in the sale.

Mackays will never be as cheap as Primark, but you do always get good quality.

If you have never shopped here then give it a try, as you never know what bargains you might pick up.
