Advantages: Lovely styles for babies..

Disadvantages: Expensive and fogey styles for ladies.

Is it just me or is Mackays really expensive??

I get my little girls clothes from here as i live in a small town and all we really have is Woolworths and Mackays. Don't get me wrong i love woolies clothes they are great value but because that's all we have it tends to run out of stock really quickly thta's why i tend to shop in Mackay's.

I think Mackay's are great if you are wanting something that little bit different for your baby as they do have some really pretty clothes for little girls and some really hip clothes for boys too!!

The only complaint i do have with them is why are their clothes so dear? I went to buy my little girl a winter coat the other week and saw a delightful red wool coat at £39.95 now she is only 9 months old isn't this a little extortiant? In the end i got her one from Woolies for £8.99 reduced from £20 which i was really chuffed with as she won't be in it 5 minutes!!

I know they are of high quality clothes and i really am not knocking them but another gripe i have is if i am needing 9-12 months why do i have to buy 18-24 months so they will fit my daughter? It isn't just me though because a lot of my friends say the same thing.

Mackay's also sell womens clothing and lingerie but then again i wouldn't touch it because of the prices and the styles are so out of date.

Please if anyone thinks i am wrong then please feel free to enlighten me maybe i am missing something..msybe i am out of touch!!

I thought that their clothes were good value for the quality, and I have found their children's clothes to be on the big side I always get one size down from what I need.

I too think that their baby clothes are expensive. I don't know about the size thing though, I haven't had any problems with sizes. If anything some of their dungarees are really long. Maybe your daughter is just big for her age. However, I do find that ladybird clothes from Woolies are small sizes.
